Frequently Asked Questions

I'd love to come to your wedding, but I really don't know if traveling to Mallorca would be feasible for me/my family!

Please don't worry – there's no pressure on anyone who can't make it! While we'd absolutely love to have you all there, we realize that July is a busy time of the year for many and there is quite some travel involved to attend our wedding.

We’re also planning a small Chinese banquet in New York with family unable to attend in Spain so that everyone is able to celebrate with us.

Is there any info about your wedding venue online?

Finca Monnaber is a 13th century farmhouse in Fornalutx, surrounded by the Tramuntana mountains and passed down within a family for generations. Since this is a private estate, there is no website or rooms available to book. The wedding will be completely outdoors.

Please note that there are other hotels on the island that share the same name (Monnaber Nou, Monnaber Vell) and are top search results on Google… These have no relation and are located in totally different towns!

What exactly is a finca?

A finca is a traditional Spanish countryhouse. These rural estates often include farmlands and orchards, and are known for their character and original features like natural stone walls, wooden ceiling beams and pretty wood finishings.

The Monnaber estate sows various vegetables and legumes in the summer. There are sheep, chicken, horses, donkeys, wild goats... and vultures.

What’s the dress code?

Dress to impress in your best cocktail attire! Think of the wedding as a formal, summer garden party. Most of the evening will take place on a grass lawn – ladies, please bear this in mind when choosing your shoes. Guys, we recommend a summer suit or tux in a light fabric (ie. linen) to beat the heat.

How do you recommend getting around Mallorca?

Renting a car is the best way to fully explore the island outside of the main towns (Palma, Sóller). Otherwise, Uber doesn’t operate in Mallorca and it’d be extremely difficult to get taxis at night in this region.

For the wedding, we’re arranging transportation between Sóller, Port de Sóller and the venue. Once we know where all guests are staying, we’ll finalize the exact pick-up locations. We recommend the shuttles since the venue is a 20 minute drive along winding mountain roads, but parking is available at Monnaber for those that would like to drive.

Are children welcome?

Yes! Our planner recommends Angels Nursing & Babysitting Agency, which offers childcare services in Mallorca. If you’d like to coordinate a babysitter to be at the wedding venue, please let us know.

Do you have a registry?

We’re so grateful to have you share our celebrations with us. We know that it takes great effort to travel so far, so your presence is more than enough.

We have no gift registry, but if you’d like to give us a little something towards our honeymoon, kindly Venmo @kevinwu- or @jentsz.

What's the best way to reach you if I have additional questions?

Message us or send an email to wutszengclan@gmail.com.

Our dearest thanks – we cannot wait to celebrate with you all!
